At Alchemy Street Brewing, our passion for craft beer is matched only by our commitment to inclusivity.
Understanding that beer lovers come with diverse dietary needs, we’ve tailored our brewing process to include gluten-reduced options, ensuring everyone can enjoy our creations without worry.
This initiative was inspired by our own brewer, Ed, whose missus, Kat was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. While Kat has to steer clear of beers, even gluten-reduced ones, her diagnosis has brought the importance of dietary considerations to the forefront of our brewing philosophy.

We’re excited to offer our gluten-reduced beers, crafted with the help of Brewers Clarex™. This remarkable enzyme not only clarifies our beers but also breaks down gluten proteins to a level that is generally safe for those with gluten sensitivities—though it’s important to note, our beers are not suitable for those with celiac disease. For our celiac friends, don’t worry; we’ve got a delicious cider on tap just for you!
Highlighting our commitment to gluten-aware consumers, we’re thrilled to host “Crust Me I’m Gluten-Free,” a renowned local bakery from Tauranga, at our brewery. They will be setting up a pop-up shop right here midday Saturday, 25th May. Ed and Kat got an exclusive taste test, and the verdict was unanimous—chef’s kiss.
